Ambient Temperature Storage
- Homemade, unpackaged braised beef: Do not store for more than 2 hours in environments above 20°C; this can be extended to 4–6 hours at around 10°C. In hot summer weather, refrigerate as soon as possible to avoid prolonged exposure to room temperature.
- Commercially canned braised beef: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight; refrigeration is not required. It can be safely stored for 18–24 months, provided the can shows no signs of bulging or rusting.
- Vacuum-packed braised beef: Store unopened in a cool, dark place at room temperature; shelf life is approximately 6 months.
Refrigerated Storage
- Core temperature requirements: Maintain a stable temperature of 0–4°C; avoid frequent opening of the refrigerator door, which causes temperature fluctuations.
- Packaging and duration requirements:
- Unpackaged braised beef: Store for no more than 2 days.
- Wrapped in standard plastic wrap or stored in a sealed container: Consume within 3 days.
- Vacuum-sealed packaging: Shelf life can be extended up to 5 days.
